Istanbul 29 Mayıs University Arabic Center for Education Implementation and Research (29 Mayıs ARÖMER) was founded to improve the relations of our university with the public and private sectors, non-governmental organizations and international organizations operating in the field of Arabic education. ARÖMER was established in order to meet the needs of the growing economic and political importance and to improve the education in Arabic in Türkiye and aims to contribute to the development of the country.
29 Mayıs ARÖMER organizes Arabic education programs, courses, seminars, workshops, and national and international meetings in the fields needed for people from all walks of life to increase their knowledge and skills; it also offers consultancy and project services and publishes works.
In Türkiye, ARÖMER is the name of quality teaching in Arabic, and it collaborates with muftiates and Imam Hatip High schools not only in Istanbul, but also in Rize, Samsun, Edirne, and many other cities. ARÖMER provides Arabic teachers chosen from other countries and help them get employed in schools across Türkiye.
Among the objectives of ARÖMER, which has wide international connections in the field of Arabic education, is to start the TOEFL in Arabic in order to provide international accreditation, and to prepare books and visual materials that facilitate the teaching of Arabic.
29 Mayıs ARÖMER aims to become the center of Arabic in Türkiye.
