Asst. Prof. Dr. İbrahim HELALŞAH received his undergraduate degree from the University of Jordan. He completed his Master’s degree in the History of Islamic Sects and earned his Ph.D. in Islamic Law at Marmara University.

With extensive experience in interpretation, Dr. Helalşah has served as a simultaneous interpreter at more than 100 international congresses and conferences. He has also worked as a consecutive interpreter (English–Arabic–Turkish) for major international organizations, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Physicians for Human Rights (PHR), and the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC).

In the media field, he has provided simultaneous interpretation for over 1,800 television programs on TRT Arabic, Al Jazeera, and various other broadcasting platforms. Between 2011 and 2016, he hosted several programs on TRT Arabic, including “One Friday, One Mosque”, “The Unknown Ottoman”, as well as Ramadan iftar and sahur programs.

Having completed his memorization of the Qur’an (Hifz) in 2004, Dr. Helalşah has also played a key role in advancing the quality of Arabic language education across Türkiye. In this capacity, he has coordinated numerous projects organized by 29 Mayıs ARÖMER, such as AHT, ATAP, and AKTAK.

He currently serves as the Director of the School of Foreign Languages at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, as well as the Director of the International Arabic Center for Education Implementation and Research (ARÖMER) and the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÜRÖMER).
Dr. İbrahim Helalşah is married and a father of three children.
