Dr. Orhan Kocaman graduated from Marmara University English Language Teaching B.A. Program in 1990, and worked as an English language teacher at Istanbul Private Marmara College for 10 years. In 2000, he started working as a lecturer at Sakarya University. In 2005, he earned his master's degree at Computer and Instructional Technologies Education M.A. Program with the thesis titled "The Effects of Computer Assisted Foreign Language Teaching on Student Attitude and Success". He then completed his doctoral study at Yeditepe University English Language Teaching Ph.D. Program with the dissertation titled "The Effects of Computer Assisted Vocabulary Teaching on Vocabulary Learning and Vocabulary Learning Strategies" in 2015. Dr. Kocaman worked as an Assist. Prof. at Sakarya University English Language Teaching Program between 2015 and 2020. Dr. Kocaman who has been working as the head of English Language Teaching Program at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University since 2020 became an Associate Professor in 2021. He speaks English, Spanish and Georgian at an advanced level and German at an intermediate level.
Dr. Kocaman's specializations include computer-assisted foreign language teaching, approaches in language learning, language acquisition, teaching a foreign language to young learners and vocabulary learning strategies.
