Asst. Prof. Tolga TOPÇUBAŞI completed his undergraduate education in the Primary Education Program within the Department of Elementary Education at Mersin University between 2007 and 2011. He received his master’s degree from the thesis-based Primary Education Program in the Department of Primary Education at the Institute of Social Sciences, Kocaeli University, between 2012 and 2015. In his master’s thesis, he examined the effect of a respect for diversity education program on students’ attitudes toward respect for diversity.
He completed his Ph.D. in the Primary Education Program within the Department of Primary Education at the Institute of Educational Sciences, Marmara University, between 2015 and 2020. His doctoral dissertation focused on an action research study examining the effectiveness of the case study method supported by newspaper articles in the Life Studies course.
Since 2011, Dr. Topçubaşı has worked as a primary school teacher in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education and in Science and Art Centers (BİLSEM). Since June 2022, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Primary Education, Department of Primary Education, Faculty of Education, İstanbul 29 Mayıs University.
His research interests include life studies education, social studies education, values education, and primary education.
