After graduating from Buca Anatolian High School in 2015, he completed his undergraduate studies in English Language and Literature at Istanbul Kültür University in 2019. He wrote his senior thesis on “The Role of Fate in Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the D’Urbervilles.” In 2019, he was admitted to the M.A. program in English Literature at Boğaziçi University and successfully defended his thesis titled “Metafictional Representations of Trauma” in 2022.
He began his academic career in April 2021 as a research assistant in the Department of English Language and Literature at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University. After spending a year in the Ph.D. program in English Literature at Istanbul University, which he joined in 2023, he transferred to the Ph.D. program in English Literature at Boğaziçi University in 2024, where he is currently continuing his studies.
Research interests: metafiction, postmodern literature, drama, novel, American literature, contemporary British poetry, trauma studies.
