Dr. Zeynep Apaydın graduated from the American Language and Culture Department at Istanbul University Faculty of Letters and Humanities in 1989 after graduating from the Üsküdar American Academy in 1985. She started working at the Preparatory School of English as a Lecturer at the Technical University of Istanbul in 1990 and completed her master’s degree in Turkish Language Education for Foreigners at Istanbul University Social Sciences Institute in 1996.
Dr. Apaydın continued with her academic career as a Senior Lecturer at the English Language Teaching Department at Marmara University Faculty of Education in 1997 until her retirement in 2013, during which she completed her Doctorate degree in English Language and Literature at the Istanbul University Faculty of Letters and Humanities in 2009. After her retirement she worked as a Senior Lecturer at the İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Faculty of Letters and Humanities, Department of English Language and Literature and Okan University Faculty of Education, English Teaching Department.
Dr. Apaydın has taken part in many national and international conferences and continues with her academic research mainly in Language Education, Methodology, English Literature, Comparative Literature and Literary Criticism. Besides her academic studies, she has translated five novels all of which have been published from English to Turkish and one, from Turkish to English language.
