Dr. Tugba GULES, Faculty Member at the Faculty of Law of our University, presented her academic paper titled “Beyond the Traditional: Exploring Non-Conventional Copyrights in the Modern Era” at an international scientific event held at the World Trade Organization (WTO) headquarters in Geneva.
The study comprehensively examines the legal status of emerging forms of creative expression—such as AI-generated content, street art, digital works, and internet culture—that transcend the boundaries of traditional copyright protection systems. Dr. Gules’ work, by questioning conventional protection paradigms and analyzing legal approaches to new forms of authorship, offers significant contributions to the evolving structure of intellectual property law and was met with great interest on the international academic platform.
We congratulate Dr. Gules on this distinguished accomplishment and extend our best wishes for her continued academic achievements.
